Medical
and Psychosocial Services
The
Risk Evaluation Program (REP) is the clinical program of the
Adolescent AIDS Program at Childrens Hospital at Montefiore.
REP recognizes that adolescence is a unique stage of the human
life cycle and that adolescents who are infected with HIV
or who are at-risk for HIV infection have specific healthcare
issues and needs.
Through our specialized care, we strive to address the needs
of the whole person and offer team based services in a youth-friendly,
confidential, and safe environment that empowers our clients
to make informed and responsible healthcare choices.

Youth-Friendly
HIV Counseling and Testing in New York City
The AAP has built a network of youth-friendly HIV Counseling
and Testing sites throughout the city of New York. If you
would like to access resources to help you refer a patient
or client for youth-friendly HIV testing or care, call the
New York Get Tested! Hotline: 718-881-TEST.
These sites provide a range of services to youth including
check-ups, general health care, birth control, and HIV counseling
and testing. These programs are for all youthstraight,
gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender. All services are completely
confidential and many do not require parental consent. Health
care services are either free or on a sliding scale and Medicaid
as well as many health insurance plans are accepted.
For HIV-positive youth, these healthcare programs provide
ongoing medical care including viral load and immune system
monitoring, medications, and counseling and support services.
The programs also provide help with insurance, housing, education
and opportunities to participate in HIV research.

list of NYC sites.
